On 26 January 2018 our founder and current Program Manager, Lynne Dunoon, was made a Member of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to community health. She was presented her medal on 17 April 2018 at Government House, by the Governor of Victoria, the Honourable Linda Dessau AC.
Lynne first assisted the Tepper family in 1997 after the arrival of their quadruplets. Lynne coordinated 120 women in the city of Swan Hill to assist the Tepper family with their four babies and two-year-old daughter. She continued to get requests across Victoria to help set up similar programs for families with triplets and quadruplets, and in 2011 the Multiple Birth Volunteer Support Foundation was incorporated, and received deductible gift recipient status.
Even now at 80 years of age Lynne continues to be a vital part of the organisation, and everyone involved is very proud of her work over the past 21 years.
